  • Artist Talk: Julien de Casabianca – From Art Heists to Street Art: Hidden Histories Revealed in the Most Unlikely of Places

    Sep 28th, 2018
    7:00pm - 8:00pm
Memphis Brooks Museum of Art | Free.

French artist, Julien de Casabianca – dubbed the Robin Hood of Street Art – takes portraits of characters plucked from classical paintings found on the walls of museums and pastes them onto public buildings to create his unique style of art.

His lecture gives a humorous and poignant insight into what drives him to create his street art, a process which began with an unlikely discovery in his childhood home and continues today with portraits from museums all around the world.
